What Students Say
'I found it really helpful, especially to being mindful of how we question clients, and the wording we use.'
Karen
'I found this quite powerful in getting me to think about clients' lived experiences. Seeing things from their frame of reference which a diagnosis can sometimes cloud. Something about taking this right back to the client and seeing the client as a whole rather than jumping to onto diagnosis and pigeon holing. So where this course is really helpful is getting me to challenge my thoughts and giving me the understanding and and knowledge to be able to reflect more deeply on my work. It's giving me the information I need to see trauma from new and interesting perspectives which will deepen my understanding of how trauma affects clients.'
Sian
'Brilliant - I work with a sexual abuse and rape organisation - lots of really valuable clues for us counsellors in this section ... I've been introduced to the work of Christiane Sanderson this year via an MA ... I agree with you Rory - her delivery of information is very valuable. Big take-away for me is the final learning task - Who am I to the client? Thank You'
